Individual Sessions
As of now, my primary focus is on Modern Walking Therapy-- our program for helping people lose weight and maintain their weight loss. Although I am not always able to take in new clients, I am working closely with John Carroll, my psychology assistant, who you may be interested in working with for your goals or personal challenges. I may be able to work with you directly, based upon availability. You can learn about us both here. If you would like individual sessions, contact us and let us know what it you're looking for. John or myself will get back to you shortly. Please note that if we are unable to work with you, we can usually refer you to a qualified professional in your area!

Office Schedule
Currently, the best times to schedule a session are:
Late afternoons and early evenings.
If you live a healthy distance from Beverly Hills, you might want to schedule an appointment on Saturday or Sunday to avoid rush hour traffic. Yes, we do see people over the weekend!
Session Costs
The price per session depends on the nature of the session and who you're working with.
I (Dr. Murphy) usually charge about $200-$300 per session.
John (the psychology assistant) usually charges anywhere between $80-100 per session.
Currently, we are not on any health care coverage plan, though certain programs may reimburse you for behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, or psychotherapy with someone who is a psychologist but is not on a health care panel.

From Robertson Blvd.:
Turn onto Wilshire Blvd. east so that you're going towards the city away from Santa Monica. The first right after Robertson is Arnaz. Take a right on Arnaz and park. Alternatively, Hamel, the next right, may be better for daytime parking. 8730 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 418
From La Cienega Blvd. or Downtown:
Turn onto Wilshire Blvd. so that you're going west towards Santa Monica. One street before Robertson is Arnaz. Make a left onto Arnaz and park. 8730 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 418
From Doheny Dr. or Santa Monica:
Turn onto Wilshire Blvd. so that you're going east towards Los Angeles The first right after Robertson is Arnaz. Take a right on Arnaz and park. Alternatively, Hamel, the next right, may be better for daytime parking. 8730 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 418
From Wilshire Blvd.:
If you're coming from downtown or Koreatown, you'll be heading west towards Santa Monica If you're coming from Santa Monica or West L.A., you'll be heading east towards downtown L.A. One block east of Robertson is Arnaz. My building is 8730 Wilshire, suite number 418.
From Pico or Olympic:
Go north on Robertson until you reach Wilshire. Once at Wilshire, take a right and then the next right at Arnaz. My building is 8730 Wilshire, suite number 418.
From Sunset Blvd. or Santa Monica Blvd.:
Go south on Robertson until you reach Wilshire. Once at Wilshire, take a left and then the next right at Arnaz. My building is 8730 Wilshire, suite number 418.
Parking
Warning! Do not park on Wilshire blvd. from 3pm to 7pm weekdays or you will be towed!
As I usually see clients in the evenings and weekends, I don't have or really need validation stickers, though I usually keep a few. Anyone who has an appointment after 5pm or for the weekend can park underground, right under the building. Otherwise, there is free street parking one block east of Robertson and in the general area.
Remember: street and meter parking is heavily regulated and strictly enforced!!
