Dr. Murphy demonstrating techniques for A&E's Airline
Welcome to LosAngeles-Hypnosis.com! I'm Dr. Murphy, a licensed psychologist who employs cognitive-behavioral techniques (CBT) and hypnotherapy to help people who want to quit smoking, as well as those who have anxiety issues, insomnia, high stress or low confidence. My main focus as a psychologist is on helping people who want to lose weight. My office is in the Beverly Hills/Los Angeles area. Assisting me is my psychological assistant John Carroll. He is in training to become a licensed psychologist himself and handles many clients while in supervision.

If you want to come in for a session, it's helpful to know a little about psychotherapy in general and which type of therapist is right for you. You'll also want to look over my privacy policy, which explains how I ensure privacy and how sometimes, as required by law, I have to break confidentiality. Have questions about session length? Or if you can drive home after hypnosis? Or if I receive text messages [yes]? I have my official FAQ section available.
